Ami Doshi Shah
Was the former Account Director on Nestle Beverages at McCann Erickson Kenya. Ami has over 10 years of experience in the marketing communication sector, specifically on the Agency side. This Jewelry Designer by training, ventured into the wonderful world of Advertising as an Account Executive on Coca- Cola and let’s just say she never looked back. Ami’s expertise is in brand, communication and campaign management .
Ami has managed campaigns for Coca- Cola, Fanta, Dasani and Five Alive across Sub- Saharan Africa. She has also worked with Silver Bullet London (now DAD) as Senior Account Manager on BSkyB (Sky TV) with a focus on Direct and Digital Marketing. She returned to Kenya with a role as Account Director with TBWA/ Redsky on BDF Beiersdorf and CfC Stanbic and then on to McCann Kenya where she spearheaded campaigns for Nescafe, Nestea and Milo. And to top all this industry experience, Ami is absolutely passionate about food.
Shreya Karia
Was the former Marketing and Communications Manager at Sankara Nairobi. While at Sankara, Shreya spearheaded the brand development, marketing and communications strategies at prelaunch, launch and post launch phase for the luxury hotel. Her work with the Sankara team earned the hotel a coveted spot on the prestigious, Conde Nast Traveler Hot List 2011.
Shreya’s credentials read like a who’s who within the luxury industry. She worked in the press office for leading design house Stella McCartney and King Sturge, as well as working with David Jones Australia. Other brands Shreya has left her mark on include, Moët Hennessy porfolio, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Westfield and Serena Hotel Group (TPS). She holds a Masters in Entrepreneurial Management from the European Business School in the UK and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Management from the University of New South Wales in Australia. She currently runs her own brand consultancy.
Mikul Shah
Is CEO & Founder of Eat Out, the region’s premier online restaurant search and booking engine. With a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the prestigious University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), Mikul has worked with global brands, including the likes of Promethean AV & SMART Technologies, developing IT & AV solutions for the UK Education Sector. With years of experience in online marketing and e-commerce, Mikul is also a serial entrepreneur. He previously launched internet start-ups www.goprojectors.co.uk & www.jutebag.co.uk in the UK.
Since returning to Kenya, Mikul has focused on developing online & mobile based solutions for the hospitality sector, including the award winning Eat Out, mobile based cinema portal FLIX.co.ke and the soon to be launched Destinations portal. Mikul has been heavily involved with the dynamic local ICT scene. He is currently a mentor at IPO48 at the iHub Nairobi, writes for Management Magazine & Business Daily, and was a speaker at TEDx Nairobi in 2010.
